Inktomi isn't a portal - you don't go to Inktomi to search for a website or to submit your site. Inktomi is the back-end for some of the biggest search engines out there, and it provides customized search engines, so you can't just figure out the Inktomi algorithm - there's a different algorithm for each partner.

Inktomi has been purchased by Yahoo!, and the company has been absorbed. Inktomi is no longer.
